The Smart Doorbell Kit can be completed comfortably by students in 4th - 12th grades! Additionally, there are different levels of varying difficulty to keep more advanced students engaged.
Students will learn the basic commands of Python (including iteration, variables, conditionals, operators, data types, and libraries). Additionally, they’ll gain exposure to basic concepts in electronics and how they can use code to bring a real product to life!
The kit can take between 4-15 hours depending on whether students attempt different challenge levels!
Students can program the Smart Doorbell to turn ON a light and send text messages and emails when someone presses the button (You can also add your own creative touch through a variety of levels!)
You'll also have the opportunity to hang the doorbell on your door and show it off to anyone who comes over!
To keep it concise, we’ve worked with AP Computer Science Principles, Exploring Computer Science, Middle School STEM programs, Gifted and Talented elementary programs, After Schools Programs, and Summer Camps!

Yes! You can reuse the purchased kits across different periods and class years. Additionally, we do have a 5 year warranty on our kits!
If your budget allows, the best experience is for each student to have access to their own kit and take it home as a trophy to show their parents once it’s completed!
However, we have had success with students working in pairs and sharing a single kit! It also improves their communication and collaborative problem solving skills!
The Smart Doorbell Kit takes up approximately 8-15 hours of curriculum time to complete (Including exercises, presentations, and JuiceMind quizzes).
A JuiceMind teacher account contains lessons that are broken down into units with presentations, check-off exercises, as well as integrated JuiceMind quizzes.
Additionally, teacher accounts have an integrated LMS system that allows teachers to assign a grade to their students!
Nope! Coding experience is not a prerequisite! As long as you can go through and understand the kit before administering it to your students, you should be good to go!
Yes! When signing up for the tutorials, students can select to work alone rather than join a class, in order to build the doorbell at their own pace.
Yes! Some popular after school programs that we’ve worked with include Girls Who Code and Hack Clubs. Additionally, some summer programs that we’ve worked with include CodeNinjas and UCSD’s summer camp!

Want to introduce students to the practical applications of programming such that they can apply their classroom knowledge to the real world?
Additionally, want to teach students the basics of Python, a language that is used in 40% of industry jobs and projects outside of the classroom?
Our tutorials are CSTA aligned and integrate into an Intro to Computer Science class as:
- A transition from block coding to textual programming.
- A capstone project to see how to build a real world product with Python.
- Coverage of the Physical computing unit that is required by most exploring computer science classes!
Book a demo for a day by day breakdown of how to integrate the product into your existing curriculum!
Interested in creating a highly marketable summer camp where students can learn Python programming and build a real world product that they can take home to show off to their parents?
The following are a few notable organizations that we've worked with:
- The Coder School
- Code Ninjas
- UCSD's technology summer camp!
One of our product's biggest strengths with integrating into after school programs is that it doesn't require extensive training and coding experience for students and facilitators to administer the kit!
Book a demo for a day by day breakdown of how to integrate the product into your existing curriculum!
Interested in teaching Python for the Big Idea #3 (Algorithms and Programming) unit of your AP Computer Science Principles class?
We provide 12 hours of hands-on, engaging supplemental curriculum that will introduce students to the fundamentals of Python (covered on the AP test), such that they are excited and motivated to take on further lessons that develop their computational thinking skills for the AP test!
Additionally, we’ve also integrated with many final class projects upon students finishing the AP test!
