AP CSA
AP Computer Science A (APCSA) is primarily a Java programming course. In this course, students delve deeply into computer science and coding to develop their programming skills. A+ College Ready's course aligns with the current College Board Course and Exam Description for the course.
AP CS Principles
AP Computer Science Principles (APCSP) is an overview of computer science, including programming, algorithms and design, the Internet, data and the global impact of computing. A+ College Ready is a College Board Endorsed Provider of Curriculum for this course.
Programming Foundations
Programming Foundations is an engaging course designed to challenge 9th - 11th grade students, as well as build interest and excitement for computing. This course covers all the DLCS 9-12 standards and is included in the Alabama CTE IT COS.
CS & Society
The course is designed to enhance knowledge of computer science and how it affects society. Including Computing Innovations, App Development with a Purpose, Ethics and Cybersecurity, and Micro:bit Projects.
CS Discoveries
Based on Code.org's CS Discoveries, this course is an introduction to computer science for 7th-8th grade students, designed with a focus on building computational thinking skills. All of the Alabama DLCS 6th-8th grade standards are included.
CS Endeavors (6th Grade)
CS Endeavors is designed to build a strong CS foundation for middle school students. Including Block Coding 1 & 2 with Scratch, Algorithms, and the Internet of Things.
