Computing Innovations
Students research an innovation and present it in the opening project, then take apart the technologies around them — adaptive technology, facial recognition, social media and wearables.
Ethics and Cybersecurity
The longest unit by contact time, and the most current. Students work from personal digital hygiene out to national cybersecurity diplomacy.
Advanced Micro:bit Projects
Nine weeks of building. Students start with LEDs and buttons, work up to three multi-day builds — an Operation game, a video game and a secret treasure box — and close on smart homes and the tech city of the future.
App Development with a Purpose
Students build apps in MIT App Inventor from the first Hello It's Me! screen through to a final invention designed around living with ALS.
